Vincent D’Onofrio on SNL
What a nice little surprise. In the opening sketch of Saturday Night Live, Vincent D’Onofrio made a guest appearance. He just keeps getting better with age.
All I want to know is…where is Detective Robert Goren? I miss him. We could use some new episodes of Law & Order: Criminal Intent – of the D’Onofrio flavor. Goren’s life was difficult last season. As if he’s not quirky enough, we found out his Dad is a serial killer, his Mom died, and he’s coming apart at the seams. Come back, Goren. Maybe he needs a girlfriend. Oooh! Pick me.
A couple of years ago I did a Netflix-themed queue and watched all-things-D’Onofrio. He’s got a huge catalog of work. Loved him in The Whole Wide World. *sigh*

I have watched all the different Law & Orders but after I started watching Vincent D’Onofrio as Detective Goren, I can’t seem to bring myself to watch any other law and order. Any time I see a Law & Order with him not in it, I just delete it off my TiVo.
His acting is incredible.
Lucy, the more I read here the more I like! Huge, Huge fan of Vincent. I just watched L & O today during my “lunch break” (kids’ naptime). I always tell Ed that if something ever happens to me, I want him to hire V to be the detective and yes, I know it’s just TV but seriously I think he is probably that good in real life!
Kelly, the sign of a good actor is his/her ability to make themselves believable. It’s no wonder I’ve left room in my closet for Det. Goren. And THAT is no small feat. I do believe in Goren. I do. I do. I do.
Did you see him as the villain in the movie: The Cell with Jennifer Lopez and Vince Vaughn? D’Onofrio stole the movie! Loved it!
Goren? A friend of Dorothy? I think not. Perhaps you’ve missed a few episodes. D’Onofrio, on the other hand, did the The Velocity of Gary. Of which, I was not a fan.
